How to Become a Brother of Beta Kappa Psi

Are you interested in becoming a brother of Beta Kappa Psi?  This article will explain the minimum requirements for admittance into the fraternity and the necessary steps in becoming a brother of Beta Kappa Psi at an existing chapter.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. The interest group must be comprised of gentlemen with no less than a 2.5/4.0 GPA (not collectively) who are enrolled in school full-time.

  2. Interested gentlemen must be at least a second semester freshman (12 credits completed)
Required Steps:
  1. Attend a Beta Kappa Psi interest meeting on your campus.

  2. Notify a brother of Beta Kappa Psi on your campus of your interest in joining the fraternity.

  3. You will now be a part of The Panther Club, an auxiliary group of Beta Kappa Psi Black and Latino Fraternity, Inc.  The Panther Club is an interest group that allows all interested gentlemen to learn more about the fraternity’s mission and its members.

  4. During your membership in the Panther Club, all interests must organize and participate in a minimum of 3 community service events and 2 fundraising events.

  5. Upon completion of the Panther Club requirements, the group will submit a package to the brothers of Beta Kappa Psi at the chapter consisting of proof of their activities (If any of the activities are not complete, an action plan for completion of these activities must be included).
    • The package must be submitted in a binder and should contain the initial interest applications, which will be provided to the interested individuals by the Chapter President of Beta Kappa Psi.
    • The most recent un-official transcripts and each interested gentleman’s work/school schedule must also be included in the binder
    • A contact list of all interested gentlemen (Name, Year, GPA, Major and anticipated or actual graduation date) must be submitted.
    • A well-written interest group history from early formation to present.

    • Once the fraternity receives the necessary approval from the institution, the group must mail official transcripts and submit induction fees to Beta Kappa Psi.
